William F. Tompkins

William F. Tompkins (1923–2017) was an American aerospace engineer, alleged designer of spacecraft, and alleged whistleblower who claimed extensive and key personal involvement in a United States secret space program and covert extraterrestrial projects within the United States Navy and aerospace industry. Tompkins’ assertions are frequently referenced in extraterrestrial conspiracy theories and discussions about reverse-engineering alien technology.

Early career

Tompkins began his career as a designer in the U.S. Navy, contributing to the development of advanced military craft during World War II. He later worked for major aerospace companies, including North American Aviation, Douglas Aircraft Company, and TRW Inc., where he was involved in classified projects and was allegedly briefed on advanced propulsion systems. Tompkins claimed these projects were part of broader deep-classified military initiatives.

Alleged involvement with extraterrestrial technology

Tompkins is known for his claims that the United States government, through the U.S. Navy, established covert programs to reverse engineer extraterrestrial technologies acquired from alleged UFO crashes and cooperation with extraterrestrial beings. According to Tompkins, he was tasked with collecting information from German scientists involved in Nazi Germany’s alleged UFO programs, a project allegedly overseen by Operation Paperclip personnel. This included claims about the Nachtwaffen, or Dark Fleet.

Claims of secret space program

After retirement, Tompkins publicly spoke about the development of a secret space program, asserting that he worked on developing technologies for off-planet operations under the directive of both the U.S. Navy and private contractors. He claimed that his work included developing massive space fleets, which later became part of intra-solar system and/or interstellar missions under Solar Warden. Tompkins also cited interactions with alleged non-human intelligent beings who, according to him, provided technical insights for advanced spacecraft design, often through covert and/or telepathic means.
